Final stages

The students of 5H are in the final stages of creating their balloon powered racecars. 

Math with laptops

After fact and current content practice the students were faced with a math research challenge. Each week the students will conduct math research. 

Types of Sentences

The students traveled around the room identifying different types of sentences on task cards. 

Math Stations

The students worked through their first round of math stations. Small group instruction is the key to our success. 

Balloon cars

The students began constructing their balloon cars today. I saw collaboration, trial and error and cooperation. Great start! 

EEKK

EEKK is the acronym for elbow elbow knee knee. This how the students should look during the Daily 5 when they choose Read to Someone. 

Building Stamina

The students grabbed an iPick book and worked on building our reading stamina. We made it to 9 minutes without distractions! #Daily5

Color code challenge

First coding challenge was a success. They were able to make the ozobots "dance" using color codes. 

Balloon Tower & Math Dominoes

The students were challenged to build the tallest balloon tower. Teamwork was the key to success.
Math dominoes was a success during math, the kids brushed up on their multiplication facts.

Saving Fred

1st mission accomplished. The students were able to successfully save Fred. Great team building activity.
